Corporations and the Political Process (1 credits)

This course examines the role of corporations in the political process, including corporate influence on the legislature and judiciary. We will explore the means by which corporations influence the political process, the social welfare effects of such influence, and the appropriate judicial response to such influence. Readings may include book chapters and articles from law, political science, and economics. Classes will run on a discussion format and class participation will be an integral component of the course. There will be a short take-home exam.
