Health Law and Policy (3 credits)

This course is a study of legal issues relating to the organization and delivery of health care services in the United States. Topics examined may include: regulation of health care professionals and organizational providers, including the setting and enforcement of standards of care and the imposition of liability; regulation of relationships and duties among the parties involved in health care delivery; bioethical aspects of the provider/patient relationship; the impact of health care financing arrangements on the delivery of health care; and the development of health policy. Prerequisites: None
