Florida Appellate Practice (2 credits)

This course includes a study of the Florida Rules of Appellate Procedure, the provisions of the Florida Constitution establishing the appellate jurisdiction of the Florida courts and the related case law. The major topics addressed in the course are subject matter jurisdiction, appellate remedies, initiating review, preparing the record, stays, motions, briefs, oral argument, rehearing, disposition on review, discretionary review and extraordinary writs. Prerequisites: None
