Joint Degree Program
Further enhancing the College of Law's ability to provide comprehensive preparation for a career in environmental and land use law is the Joint Degree Program with the School of Urban and Regional Planning. FSU's Urban and Regional Planning program is nationally respected and offers a wide array of fields of emphasis. When combined with the J.D. degree, particularly with the Certificate in Land Use Law, the Joint Degree provides an excellent foundation in both the law and the policy of land use. Students complete the Joint Degree with 78 hours taken in the College of Law (plus 3 additional if completing the Certificate) and 33 in the Urban and Regional Planning program, graduating with the J.D. and Masters degrees.
