Pro Bono Work in Environmental Law

Students are required to complete a minimum of 20 pro bono hours during their law school tenure. Florida State Law's Pro Bono Program works with 14 agencies that provide pro bono opportunities for students with a special interest in Environmental Law. These agencies include: 1000 Friends of Florida, Apalachicola Riverkeeper, Big Bend Coastal Conservancy, The Clean Water Network of Florida, Earthjustice, Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission, Lake Jackson Alliance, National Commission on Deepwater Horizon, The Nature Conservancy, Surfrider Foundation, Tallahassee Trust for Historic Preservation Inc., The Trust for Public Land, Three Rivers Legal Services Inc. and Wildlaw (Florida Office). Students wishing to obtain their pro bono hours from other organizations and/or law firms which focus in environmental law will need to obtain approval by Student Affairs.
