Professor Annino trains University of Guyana Students on Legal Service Clinic Advocacy

In February of 2004, Prof. Paolo Annino, Co-Director of the Children's Advocacy Center, was called upon to share his expertise in legal service clinics with law students at the University of Guyana. Prof. Annino was recruited by the Florida Association for Volunteer Action in the Caribbean and the Americas, Inc. (FAVACA). While there, Annino met with the students daily and gave talks on legal persuasion, interviewing and negotiations. He also gave a university-wide lecture on the role of a legal clinic in legal education. Annino provided the University Of Guyana with recommendations, and suggested methods for interviewing, note taking and professionalism.
