Juris Doctor Program

Florida State Law's three-year curriculum for the Juris Doctor degree provides students a foundational first-year program and a rich and varied offering of upper-level courses, seminars, clinics and co-curricular opportunities. The curriculum is designed to prepare graduates for the basic demands of legal practice through a broad "liberal arts" approach to curricular offerings supplemented with a wide variety of specialized courses emphasizing FSU's strengths in environmental and land use law, international law and intellectual property and technology. Without assuming a local focus, curricular design at the Florida State Law also takes full advantage of the school's setting in the capital city of one of the nation's most populous and economically vibrant states.
