J.D. Early Binding Decision

The Early Binding Decision process is ideal for applicants who have thoroughly researched law schools and feel confident that Florida State University College of Law is their top choice. Applicants admitted through Early Binding Decision will automatically be considered for our full range of scholarship opportunities based on both the high LSAT or GRE score AND the cumulative undergraduate GPA.

Applicants who are admitted through Early Binding Decision are obligated to accept the offer of admission, immediately withdraw from all other schools where an application has been submitted, and cease submitting any new applications to other law schools. Applicants selecting Early Binding Decision cannot apply to any other law school simultaneously through an Early Binding Decision program. If admitted through Early Binding Decision, failure to abide by these rules will result in Florida State Law revoking the offer of admission.

Early Binding Decision applications must be submitted by December 15. It is ideal for an Early Binding Decision applicant to have an LSAT score prior to the December administration. Applications that are incomplete by the deadline will be considered as part of the regular applicant pool for the admissions cycle.

Decisions will be made on Early Binding Decision applications on a rolling basis. All decisions will be communicated by January 15 to Early Binding Decision applicants. Applicants who are admitted through Early Binding Decision are required to submit enrollment documents and the non-refundable seat deposit of $200.00 by January 31.

Applicants who apply through Early Binding Decision but are not accepted through Early Binding Decision will be informed either that their application has been moved to the regular applicant pool for consideration or that their application for admission has been denied.
