Why did you choose the College of Law?
I transferred to FSU because I was impressed with how well FSU balances providing professional, academic and social opportunities to its students. Transferring to FSU also meant being closer to my family. This factor has afforded me peace of mind and a generally happier law school experience.

What do you feel is unique about being a student at the College of Law?
Both the Tallahassee Bar Association and our alumni at large are very welcoming to FSU Law students, and many of them will go out of their way to help us succeed. This welcoming atmosphere encourages students to network without fear or anxiety, because becoming a student at FSU Law means joining a community of people who support each other.

What makes our alumni network special?
FSU College of Law alumni come to speak at the law school so often! It is really encouraging to see how eager they are to engage with law students and to hire from the College of Law. They inspire me to adopt a similar attitude when I am in a position to hire one day.

Why do you want to be an attorney?
My background in marketing and the arts drew my attention to intellectual property law. Thanks to this background, my involvement in the Intellectual Property Law Society at FSU, and the IP law classes I’ve enjoyed taking at FSU, I feel well equipped to enter this field after graduation.

What has been your favorite course or who has been your favorite professor since starting your legal education?
Any class with Professor Linford. This guy really knows his stuff about Copyright and Trademark Law, and he keeps his classes interesting by incorporating contemporary examples that make the reading topics relatable and interesting.

Which College of Law student organization stands out to you and why?
Transfer Student Organization. Most law schools do not have a student organization like this one and membership in this organization has been instrumental in making me feel at home at FSU. We host tailgates and brunches, and TSO provides each incoming transfer with a student mentor who transferred the previous year.

What is your favorite Tallahassee recommendation?
I am a bit of a foodie, so my recommendation is a restaurant. You have not lived until you have eaten at Maple Street Biscuit Company!
