What do you feel is unique about being a student at the College of Law?
I love the environment. College of Law students rally around each other, support each other, and care about each other. My peers have pushed me to work harder, encouraged me to try new things, and have been there to pick me up when I have fallen. Whether it is my fellow classmates, upper classmen, or the professors, being surrounded by such role models has made me a better man.

Why do you want to be an attorney?
I view law school as an investment in my future. I have always been interested in working in government or politics and the people who excel in those fields are those who have a firm understanding of the law. I do not know if I will end up practicing law in the traditional sense, but I know that my J.D. will always have value and will open up countless doors and opportunities for me.

What has been your favorite course since starting your legal education?
I really enjoyed Legislation and Regulation with Professor Tolson. She taught us that judges are human, endowed with human traits that effect their interpretation of the law, and that they are not infallible, but in a common law system their interpretations have great effect. Most importantly, Professor Tolson taught us to be open-minded and to think critically in our approach to the law.

What do you recommend to guests visiting Tallahassee?
We have a Chick-fil-a that stays open until 3:00 AM (Tennessee Street location).  It doesn’t get better than that!

Fun fact about Grey.
I chartered a boat in Scotland and searched Loch Ness with a fish finder looking for the Loch Ness monster…I didn’t find her.
