Why did you choose the College of Law?
It was my personal experiences and future goals that prompted me to pursue a legal education at FSU. The school offers a law education that aligns with my values and puts me in a town with numerous state legislators. There is no better place to go to law school. The city has a law firm on almost every street and the state legislative building is only a few blocks away.

Why do you want to be an attorney?
Pursuing a law degree will give me the necessary tools to be a great advocator for my local community and prepare me for a career as a legislator. Only as a legislator will I get the opportunity to directly impact the lives of millions of people. As a legislator, I want to work on drafting criminal justice and educational policies.

Which student services office has been particularly helpful to you during your time at the College of Law?
The student office that has been most helpful is the Placement Office. I did not come in with any legal experience like some of my peers. Therefore, I did not know how to create a resume that would make me attractive in the legal profession. However, the Placement Office showed me how to market myself, and the small things I could do around town to make up for my lack of legal experience, like volunteering.

What do you recommend to guests visiting Tallahassee?
I am in love with Tacospeak. They have some of the best tacos I have ever had and many different taco options.

Fun fact about Laxavier.
I was a model in high school.
