What makes our alumni network special?
Our alumni network is special because of the time and energy that is given back to the College of Law. Whether it is donations, networking opportunities, seminars, mentorships, etc., the alumni network is always finding ways to assist and guide students. I believe it is the first-rate educational experience that produces alumni who are aware of the benefits of giving back. Our alumni are where they are today due in part to the education they received from the College of Law, and I think that is why we have such an outstanding alumni network.

What has been your favorite course since starting your legal education?
My favorite course (and teacher) has been Legal Writing and Research with Professor Blenkhorn. While overlooked by a substantial number of students, the course is essential for success in the legal profession and provides students with the writing and research skills needed in the workforce. At the foundation of our profession is the requirement to write and express ideas clearly and efficiently. Professor Blenkhorn was an incredible professor and was always receptive to my concerns and ideas about the course concepts. She was supportive throughout the entire endeavor and helped me to improve my writing and research skills.

Which College of Law student organization stands out to you?
The International Law Students Association stood out to me immediately as a great organization for exploring the ever-expanding field of international law and a great opportunity to discover study abroad experiences. The advances in transportation and communication technologies has led to a more interconnected world and as a result, has integrated international law into virtually every practice of law. The ILSA does a great job introducing students to the field and provides great networking and educational experiences for their members.

What do you recommend to guests visiting Tallahassee?
My favorite Tallahassee recommendation is the Alfred B. Maclay Gardens State Park. I have always been an outdoors person and the gardens are an excellent way to get away from the fast-paced environment in Tallahassee. They have a variety of hiking trails throughout the wooded ravines and around Lake Overstreet. They also have an incredible scenic walk around the lake, featuring a wide variety of gardens, sculptures, and walkways to explore. The best time to visit is in the spring, when the flowers in the garden bloom!

Fun fact about Tyler.
2015 was a great year! It was the first time I had ever seen snow and the first time I had ever flown on a plane! I am also color blind, which is not very "fun" but unique nonetheless!
