1L Spring Competition
Each year the Florida State Law Moot Court Team invites all law school second-semester
first-year students
and all second-year students
to compete in the Moot Court Spring Intramural competition.
From the top competitors,
14 first-year students and two second-year students
are asked to join the Moot Court
Team. Selection is based on merit with each student evaluated according to his or her written brief and performance over three rounds of oral argument. The top four
new team members compete in the Final
Four Competition for the Broad and Cassel Outstanding
Appellate Advocate Award. The Intramural
Competition is a student's only opportunity to join the Moot Court Team.
