TITLE: Victoria Fisher Memorial Prize Essay

TITLE: Dean Frank E. Maloney Writing Contest, sponsored by ELULS
TOPIC:
PRIZE/AWARD: Cash prize, complementary admission to the ELULS Annual Update, and up to $500 toward travel expenses to Amelia Island.

TITLE: Real Property, Probate and Trust Journal Student Writing Competitions
TOPIC: Real property, trust and estate law
PRIZE/AWARD: 1st place will receive $1,500 cash, a one year free membership in the Section and an expense paid trip to the Leadership Meeting in Montreal.
2nd and 3rd place will receive $700 and $500 respectively.

TITLE: 25th Annual Smith-Babcock-Williams Student Writing Competition
TOPIC: Planning law, land use law, local government law or environmental law.
PRIZE/AWARD: 1st place will receive $2,500 and will be submitted for publication in The Urban Lawyer. 2nd place will receive $1000, and up to two Honorable Mentions of $250.
RULES:
ELIGIBILITY:This competition is open to law students at ABA accredited law schools who are enrolled in or who will complete a program of study leading to the J.D., LL.B., Masters or Ph.D. degree during the 2007-2008 academic year.

TITLE: American Judges Association Twentieth Annual Law Student Essay Competition
TOPIC: “Search and Seizure Arising from Motor Vehicle Stops”
PRIZE/AWARD: 1st Prize - $3,000
2nd Prize - $1,500
3rd Prize - $1,000
RULES: Entry grants AJA the right of first publication; papers become the property of the American Judges Association and may be published in the Court Review. Papers should be typed, double –spaced, on a 8-1/2 by 11 inch white paper, and 10-25 pages in length. Citations, footnotes, and endnotes should be in accord with the current edition of A Uniform System of Citation. Submissions must include one original and 10 copies with one cover page and the completed entry form.
ELIGIBILITY:Any student regularly enrolled in and attending classes at an accredited law school in the United States or Canada.
DEADLINE: Entries must be postmarked no later than June 2, 2008.

TITLE: The National Lesbian & Gay Law Association Michael Greenberg Student Writing Competition
TOPIC: Cutting edge legal issues affecting the Lesbian, Gay, Bixesual, Transgender, and/or Intersex community.
PRIZE/AWARD: 1st place: $3,000 scholarship, Publication in the Journal of Law and Sexuality at Tulane University Law School
2nd place: $2,000 scholarship
3rd place: $1,000 scholarship
All will receive registration, airfare and lodging for Lavender Law 2008 in San Francisco, California.
RULES:
ELIGIBILITY:Open to students enrolled in an accredited law school during the 2007-2008 academic year.
