Chairs - This is one of the most prestigious endowments a donor can name at the College of Law. It provides significant financial support to a professor in the area or program of specialization of the donor's choice. Typically, the income from this endowment is spent to supplement the Chair holder's salary, as well as provide additional income for special purposes. These purposes could include facilitation of professional seminars, the purchase of special publications to complement the professor's work, travel and involvement of the professor in the profession of the endowment's designated specialization, or the hiring of law students to assist the professor in research projects. The Chair would last in perpetuity and always supply income to the designated area of the legal profession. Endowed Chairs at Florida State College of Law are:

  • Alumni Centennial Chair
  • Edward Ball Eminent Scholar Chair in International Law
  • Richard W. Ervin Eminent Scholar Chair
