Amelia Rinehart is a visiting assistant professor for the 2008/2009 academic year. Professor Rinehart received her Juris Doctor degree from The University of Chicago Law School in 2002. Professor Rinehart most recently worked as an associate at Jones, Walker, Waechter, Poitevent, Carrere & Denegre, L.L.P., where she was engaged in all aspects of Intellectual Property. Her practice also involved a close knowledge of the federal rules of civil procedure, federal jurisdiction and contract law. Professor Rinehart’s research explores the rules for intangible property ownership, such as patents, trademarks and copyrights, and incentives regarding procurement and enforcement.

Amelia Rinehart will teach Copyright Law and Technology/IP Licensing in the fall 2008 semester and will teach Antitrust Law and Patent Prosecution in the spring.
