Michael Dimino will visit Florida State Law for the 2008-2009 academic year from Widener University School of Law. Professor Dimino has experience in teaching in the areas of Criminal Law and Constitutional Law. Professor Dimino’s scholarship focuses on judicial behavior, selection and campaigning. He is currently writing about the community-caretaking doctrine in search-and-seizure law. Before joining the legal academy, he clerked for Judge Paul L. Friedman, of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia; Judge Laurence H. Silberman, Senior Circuit Judge for the United States Court of Appeal for the D.C. Circuit; and Associate Judge Albert M. Rosenblatt of the New York State Court of Appeals.

Professor Dimino will teach Criminal Procedure-Police and a seminar on Election Law in the fall 2008 semester, and will teach Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure – Adjudication in the spring.
