Professor Megan Shaner is visiting Florida State in the fall of 2012; she will teach Corporations and Merges & Acquisitions. Her scholarship focuses on business associations, corporate governance, corporate restructuring and finance and mergers and acquisitions. Prior to joining academia, Shaner served as a senior associate at Richards, Layton & Finger, P.A., in Wilmington, Delaware. While in private practice, she focused on litigation, as well as advisory and transactional matters relating to Delaware corporations and alternative entities.
Shaner comes to Florida State from the University of Oklahoma College of Law where she is an associate professor of law. She is a member of the Delaware Bar and served as Note and Comment Editor of the Iowa Law Review during law school.
