Professor Ziegler joined the Florida State faculty in fall 2013. She uses legal history to probe the assumptions underlying current debates about constitutional, reproductive-health, and family-law issues. Her work focuses on the law and history of abortion, illegitimacy, contraception, marriage, and child care.
She comes to Florida State University from the Saint Louis University School of Law. Prior to that, she clerked for John A. Dooley of the Vermont Supreme Court after completing a term as a Ruebhausen Fellow in Law at Yale Law School.
Professor Ziegler will teach Torts and Family Law in the fall.
