Education Susan B. Bodell received her J.D. degree, with honors, from the University of Miami School of Law in 1993. She also holds a Master of Arts in English from the University of Miami, and a Master of Science in Library Science from Florida State University. Related Links
She was a faculty member in the Department of English at the University of Miami from 1979 to 1985, and at Florida International University from 1985 until she left teaching to go to law school in 1990. From 1993 until she moved to Tallahassee in 1997, Ms. Bodell was an associate with the law firm of Spence Payne Masington Needle and Leeds in Miami, specializing in personal injury, medical malpractice and product liability. From 1997 to 1998, she served as a prosecuting attorney for the Agency for Health Care Administration, and in 2000 she joined the Administrative Law Section of the Office of the Attorney General, where she served as counsel to a number of professional regulatory boards of the Department of Health and other state agencies.
