A member of the clinical faculty, Professor Gertz teaches Pre-Trial Civil Practice, assists in coordinating the externship program, and supervises the Public Service Fellows Program.

A former Commissioner to the Florida Public Employees Relations Commission, she also served for 12 years as in-house counsel to the Florida Education Association/United, a labor union representing educational employees. She graduated with honors from Florida State Law in 1984.
