Government Documents

United States government publications are made available for public information through the Research Center Depository Program. The Research Center became a depository for selected publications in 1978. Publications are fully integrated into the collection and can be found by author (often a governmental department or agency), title, and subject(s) through the Online catalog.

The Research Center also has the Congressional Information Service (CIS) microfiche set of Congressional reports, hearings, etc., since 1970 and portions of the CIS U.S. Serial Set, covering Congressional documents from earlier years. These are especially helpful for legislative history materials. Federal documents online can be retrieved from the U.S. Government Printing Office.
