John W. Frost, II wins Florida State Law Distinguished Alum Award

TALLAHASSEE—John W. Frost, II, of Bartow, Fla., has been named by the Florida State College of Law Alumni Association Board of Directors as the 2007 Distinguished Alum Award winner.

The Distinguished Alum Award recognizes a graduate who has distinguished himself professionally and who has rendered outstanding service to the community as well as to the Florida State University College of Law. Frost was a member of the law school’s charter class and graduated with a Juris Doctor degree in 1968.

Frost is the senior partner with the law firm of Frost Tamayo Sessums & Aranda, P.A., in Bartow. He is board certified in civil trial practice and business litigation by The Florida Bar. He is a frequent author and lecturer and is listed in Leading Attorneys in Florida and Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers. He is past president of The Florida Bar, and a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates; Academy of Florida Lawyers; and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.

“We are all very grateful for John’s extremely generous support of the law school,” said Dean Don Weidner. “Although John is a proud Gator as far as athletics are concerned, we are thrilled by his unwavering support of our academic programs.”
