Nov 01, 2009

TALLAHASSEE — Tampa attorneys Andy and Hope Dogali, both 1986 Florida  State University College of Law graduates, have pledged $25,000 to the law school. The  couple’s gift establishes the Andy and Hope Dogali Endowment for Excellence. The  income generated by the endowment may be used at the discretion of the law school for any academic purpose.

“We are all very appreciative of Andy and Hope’s generous financial support of the  law school, especially during this down economy,” said Dean Don Weidner. “Their endowment will help us sustain and build upon the academic programs we provide our superb students.”

“Florida State University College of Law demonstrated a terrific level of support  for us while we were students and I’ve personally witnessed the immeasurable support the  law school provides its graduates,” said Andy Dogali. “Hope and I are very proud of our ability to give back after coming to enjoy a level of success which began with our Florida  State experience.”

Andy cofounded the law firm of Forizs & Dogali in Tampa and practices primarily  in the areas of insurance defense, insurance coverage, construction law and economic fraud  litigation. He also is a member of the law school’s Board of Visitors. Hope practices at  Forizs & Dogali and focuses on residential real estate closings, contracts and foreclosures.

Florida State Law alumni have a strong record of giving back to the law school. An  impressive 25 percent of graduates made gifts to the law school during last fiscal year, making Florida State one of the nation’s top law schools in terms of alumni giving.
