TALLAHASSEE — The Florida State University College of Law Alumni Association presented its 2012 Class of ’66 Award to Tallahassee attorney Arthur Stern on Friday, October 26. The award recognizes a non-Florida State University College of Law graduate who has rendered distinguished service to the law school and to the community. Recipients of the award are inducted into the Class of 1966 to commemorate the year that the College of Law opened its doors.

Arthur Stern, a Harvard Law graduate and principal in the Law Office of Arthur L. Stern, has served as an adjunct professor in the law school and has coached many of the law school moot court teams. Several of these teams have won first-place victories in national competitions, including the Ruby R. Vale Corporate Moot Court Competition, the Domenick L. Gabrielli National Family Law Competition and the George Washington Religious Freedom Competition. In addition, he last year coached a team to Florida State’s first-place victory in the World Finals of the Manfred Lachs Space Law Competition.

“Arthur’s support has enriched the lives of our moot court students beyond measure,” said Dean Don Weidner. “Nothing replaces dedicated mentoring from a sophisticated and caring professional.”
