JD Advisor

As part of our continuing efforts to assist our graduates seeking employment, the Florida State University College of Law Placement Office recently added attorney Christine Guard to the Placement Office staff as JD Advisor. She is available to assist you with any aspect of your job search. She is available to meet in person at the Placement Office if you are currently in Tallahassee or by telephone at 850.644.4495. Ms. Guard serves as an assistant attorney general at the Criminal Appeals Division of the Florida Office of the Attorney General. While with the Attorney General’s Office, she developed and assisted in the implementation of the Tallahassee Criminal Appeals Bureau’s intern program to help law student gain experience in appellate work. A 1999 graduate of Tulane Law School, she began her career as an assistant public defender in the Tenth Judicial Circuit of Florida. After working in private practice, she joined the Florida Department of Environmental Protection in Tallahassee, eventually becoming the senior lead litigating attorney for the department’s Public Lands Section. During and immediately after law school, she worked for the Mayor’s Office of Environmental Affairs in New Orleans. Christine received her undergraduate degree from Florida State University in 1994.
