TALLAHASSEE — 86.7 percent of current Florida State University College of Law students gave to the school during the recent 2018 Student Give Back Campaign, which ended March 3. Law students participated in the campaign by contributing cash or donating their time to benefit the law school. A record 45 faculty members made challenge gifts to inspire student giving.

“We’re all thrilled by this result, which is a direct expression of student support for FSU Law, our programs and our faculty,” said College of Law Dean Erin O’Connor. “Thank you to all of our students and faculty members who helped us surpass the goal of an 85 percent participation rate.”

The College of Law’s student campaign helps establish a culture of philanthropy among students. It also motivates alumni to contribute. Florida State is one of the nation’s top law schools in terms of alumni giving rate, according to the most recent American Bar Association data.
