Co-Curricular Opportunities

The law school has five co-curricular academic organizations, including three student-edited journals and trial and appellate advocacy teams. The journals include the Florida State University Law Review, the Journal of Land Use & Environmental Law and the Journal of Transnational Law & Policy. Each of our journals has been rated high on “impact factor” by Washington and Lee University.

Our outstanding Mock Trial and Moot Court teams are regionally and nationally competitive, frequently bringing home first-place victories. These organizations promote excellence in written and oral advocacy and enable students to receive academic credit for their participation. Since 2010, the Moot Court Team has won 1st place in one international competition and in five national competitions. In November 2010, the Mock Trial Team won 1st place in the Florida Justice Association’s E. Earle Zehmer Mock Trial Competition.

"Moot Court really has been my favorite experience. We get to travel around the country and go to competitions, which is really fun."
