Applications are accepted for the first-year class between September 1 and May 1 for admissions the following

August. Florida State University College of Law enrolls only one class in the fall of each year. We do not offer a part-time or evening program. Submit and complete law school applications as early as possible. Files must be complete by May 15 to receive full consideration.

The students of Florida State University College of Law are one of its greatest strengths. For 2010, the college received more than 3,600 applications for approximately 200 seats in the first-year class.

Admission to Florida State University College of Law is a competitive process. With a 75th percentile LSAT score of 164 and a 25th percentile LSAT score of 161, the 2010 entering class has the highest LSAT scores in the state.

Factors considered by the admissions committee include numerical credentials (LSAT and GPA), exceptional personal talents, interesting or demanding work or service experience, leadership potential, rigorousness of the undergraduate course of study, maturity, a history of overcoming economic or social hardships, ability to communicate effectively and other factors. Decisions on applicant files are made on a rolling basis, based on the strength of the application.

The February LSAT is accepted for fall admission and the committee considers the highest LSAT score in making decisions on applicants with multiple scores.
