Financial Aid

All students interested in applying for federal financial aid must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Students who have previously completed a FAFSA may complete a Renewal Application.

The application and renewal form are available electronically by accessing U.S. Department of Education's FAFSA. Hard copies of the forms are available in the Office of Financial Aid, University Center, Suite 4400A, Florida State University, Tallahassee, FL 32306.

FAFSA applications for the 2006-2007 academic year may be submitted as early as January 1, 2006. Awards are made on a first come, first served basis. Some types of aid are limited in funding, so apply as soon as possible after January 1st of each year.

If you have any specific questions about the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), call the Federal Student Aid Information Center at 1-800-4-FED-AID (800-433-3243) TTY: 1-800-730-8913 or 1-319-337-5665.

There is no separate financial aid office in the College of Law. All financial aid inquiries can be directed to the Florida State University Office of Financial Aid.
