Evelyn Davis, senior partner at Hawkins Parnell & Young, LLP, is pictured with fellow FSU College of Law alum and 2021-2022 Association of Defense Trial Attorneys (ADTA) president, Edward Birk, and first lady of ADTA. The two were present for the 81st Annual ADTA meeting in Napa Valley, California, where Davis assumed the role of 2022-2023 ADTA president. Posted 5.27.22

 

Lionel E. Rubio has been named a shareholder of Winderweedle, Haines, Ward & Woodman, P.A. in Orlando. He represents clients in real estate, land use and development, condominium, and local governmental law. Rubio previously was a shareholder of the firm and returned after serving as a chief operating officer and chief compliance officer for an investment advisory firm. Jeffrey Feulner, founder and managing attorney of the Men’s Divorce Law Firm, passed away unexpectedly in May 2021. Posted 6.15.21

Greg Voyles has been named the new superior court judge for the Southern Judicial Circuit — Lowndes, Brooks, Colquitt, Echols and Thomas counties by Georgia Governor Brian Kemp. Posted 9.30.20

 

The Honorable Heather D. Pinder Rodriguez is serving as president elect the FSU College of Law Alumni Association Board of Directors for the 2020-2021 academic year. Posted 7.1.20

Steven M. Millsap is serving on the FSU College of Law Alumni Association Board of Directors for the 2020-2021 academic year. Posted 7.1.20

Thomas O. Ingram has launched Sodl & Ingram, PLLC, a law firm that serves clients in all aspects of commercial real estate, investment, financing and development. Ingram has practiced law in Jacksonville since 1999, focusing on real estate development in Jacksonville and Northeast Florida. His areas of expertise include land use and zoning, commercial development, government relations and environmental law. He is a past district council chair of Urban Land Institute - North Florida and is active in the Northeast Florida Builders Association (NEFBA)’s Government Affairs committee. Posted 8.5.19

 

Richard C. Valuntas was re-elected to the Royal Palm Beach Village Council, Seat 2 in March 2019. He is the assistant attorney general at the Office of the Attorney General in West Palm Beach. Posted 7.30.19

 

Catherine B. Chapman passed away on May 3, 2019. She was an equity shareholder at Guilday, Simpson, West, Hatch, Lowe & Roan, P.A. in Tallahassee and practiced in a variety of civil law areas, including administrative and regulatory, appellate, business, litigation, employment, healthcare, insurance coverage and defense, nursing home defense, and professional liability. Chapman also served as the Tallahassee Women Lawyers CLE director and past-president. Posted 5.9.19

He focuses his practice on first party property insurance defense litigation, including coverage and bad faith litigation, and specializes in insurance claims and investigations potentially involving fraud or arson. Posted 4.23.19

He regularly represents clients in government contracting and procurements, bid protest, and both administrative and civil litigation. The Honorable Heather D. Pinder Rodriguez, of the Ninth Judicial Circuit, will receive the 2019 Inspire Award from the Florida State University Alumni Association on March 28, 2019 in Orlando. The award recognizes alumnae who have distinguished themselves as leaders within their industry and whose hard work and determination serves as an inspiration to current students and young alumni at Florida State University. Posted 12.19.18

Susan S. Bloodworth is now a shareholder at Rogers Towers in their St. Augustine office. She specializes in land use law, including large and small scale development, and real estate transactions. Posted 7.5.18

Jeffrey Feulner will be honored at the 2018 Seminole 100, a celebration of the fastest-growing businesses owned by FSU alumni. He is a shareholder at Men’s Divorce Law Firm in Orlando. Feulner handles all aspects of marital and family law, and aggressively pursues cases involving the establishment of paternity and fathers’ rights. Posted 1.19.18

Scott B. Smith, a managing partner at Lytal, Reiter, Smith, Ivey & Fronrath in West Palm Beach, was sworn in for a second term as a member of the Palm Beach County Bar Association's board of directors. He and his wife, Molly, also served as co-chairpersons for The Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County's Annual Gala. Smith was named one of the Best Lawyers in America and Super Lawyer. He also was named to The National Trial Lawyers list in the areas of personal injury and wrongful death litigation. He and Molly live in Palm Beach Gardens with their four children, Sandy, Tucker, Charlie and Harrison (and their yellow lab Chief). Posted 12.11.17
