Why did you choose the College of Law?
Florida State Law is at the center of Florida legislation. Every senator, representative, lobbyist and activist group has to come to Tallahassee to get things done. I soon realized there are a tremendous number of opportunities to learn at one of the best law schools in the country and attain real-world experience in the capital city.

How have you interacted with our alumni network?
When I was uncertain about the different areas of law that interested me, I was able to reach out to alumni to learn more. Within a few weeks, I had a clear picture about what I wanted to do and secured a judicial externship for the summer. It was truly eye-opening to see the power of the Florida State Law alumni network, and humbling to have fellow 'Noles provide guidance and support along the way.

What has been your most challenging experience in law school thus far?
Compartmentalizing has been the most challenging thing for me thus far. In my first semester, I was naturally excited about everything I was learning and focused on nothing else. Law school is a substantial commitment and it can take over your life. Luckily, I found a group of other similarly driven law students and by studying together, we were able to study much more effectively and learn faster. This enabled me to balance my time and take advantage of what Florida State Law has to offer through campus involvement.

Give one fun fact about yourself.
My name is pronounced like "Tie-na" and it means "sunshine!"

Why did you become a student ambassador?
I was always involved in school as an undergraduate student. I found it a nice opportunity to connect with students and get to know other departments of the school that I would not have the chance to if I was only attending classes. I am excited about being actively engaged in the law school. Serving as an ambassador provides opportunities to meet new people, represent a school that I'm very proud of and show prospective students all that Florida State Law has to offer!
