Florida State University College of Law Dean Donald J. Weidner has been reappointed to the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws (also known as the Uniform Law Commission) by Florida Governor Rick Scott. Weidner’s second term on the commission began October 29, 2015, and ends June 5, 2019.

The Uniform Law Commission is the nation’s leading statutory law reform group, with representatives appointed by every state, with the special purpose of drafting uniform business laws for all states to adopt. Weidner previously served the commission as the reporter (the principal drafter) for the Revised Uniform Partnership Act (1994).

“I have been honored to serve as a commissioner since 2011 and look forward to continuing to help draft clear and efficient rules to lower the cost of doing business,” said Weidner.
